Pneumatic H2-Ball Valves
WEH® H2-ball valves with pneumatic actuators are used wherever – for safety reasons, for example – manual operation of
the valves is not required. They can also be installed in automated systems.
The large nominal size minimises pressure loss during media flow.
The valves operate smoothly and are extremely durable, as the shut-off ball is trunnion-mounted (trunnion style).
WEH® H2-ball valves are available as standard as 2-way valves, and as 3-way valves on request. The 2-way version is
suitable for flow in both directions.
Applications
WEH® H2-ball valves have been specially developed and tested for hydrogen applications.
The bodies are made from special 316L alloys with controlled nickel, chromium and molybdenum content, and the sealing
ball is made from XM19 stainless steel. This significantly reduces the risk of hydrogen embrittlement, thereby ensuring a
longer service life.
Typical applications include hydrogen storage systems, compressor units and dispensers, as well as test rigs for hydrogen
components.
