Wherever the media flow within a pipe system needs to be manually shut off or opened in both directions, WEH® H2-needle valves perform this function with absolute reliability. The valves are extremely smooth-running and durable, as the valve needle and the rotating valve spindle are decoupled from each other. The valve needle with regulating tip and the spindle are shaped in such a way that the flow can be increased/regulated slowly and precisely when the valve is opened (2-3 turns). Alternatively, versions with a V-tip for use as a shut-off valve only are available on request (6-7 turns). WEH® H2-needle valves can be mounted either frontally in panels (1/4“-20 UNC) or laterally on rails or holders (bore diameter depending on size, see tables).
Applications WEH® H2-needle valves are specifically designed and tested for hydrogen applications. The bodies of all fittings and valves are made of special 316/316L alloys with controlled nickel, chromium, and molybdnum content. This significantly reduces the risk of hydrogen embrittlement, thereby ensuring a longer service life. Typical applications include hydrogen storage systems, compressor systems, and dispensers, as well as test systems for hydrogen components. Separate versions are available for hydraulic applications or those involving other gases. Please feel free to inquire!
